Kristen Warner

Kristen combines her background in early childhood education, with her most favorite role, being a mama! The Bee Hive was born after Kristen became a mom for the first time.  Kristen was seeking a community where she could connect with other parents, as well as a place that would foster her son's learning and development, however, she couldn't find a place that felt right in Austin.  She dreamed of a calming, inclusive space where parents could bring their young children for developmentally appropriate play, as well as foster relationships between parents. With the help of her husband, Kristen made her dream a reality, and The Bee Hive was born!

Prior to The Bee Hive, Kristen worked for eight years as an early childhood teacher specializing in children with special needs.  Kristen earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Dayton, and her Master's in Education from the University of Cincinnati.  Kristen uses her training and experience to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and families.

Kristen lives in Austin with her husband, Steven, their son, Brooks, and their beloved dog, Charlie.  Kristen enjoys exploring the parks and trails around Austin with her family, traveling, and taste testing all the queso in Austin!
